The Dutch consultancy Ligtermoet & Partners is preparing a proposal called ‘QUEST', to be submitted under the current IEE-STEER call of which we have previously informed you. QUEST aims to develop an audit tool to evaluate and improve the quality of sustainable urban transport. The main goal is to support cities in making progress with their urban transport policies. Depending on a city's present quality level with regard to sustainable urban transport, a specific improvement programme will be offered, distinguishing between three types of programmes:
- Track 1 ‘blueprint for a kick-start': initiating the development of an urban mobility plan in starter cities
- Track 2 ‘strengthening urban mobility policy': strengthening specific themes of urban mobility plan/policy in climber cities
- Track 3 ‘inspiration for excellence': dissemination of good practice and knowledge exchange between champion cities
More details about the approach and conditions can be found in the attached file.
If you are interested in becoming involved as starter or climber city, please inform by 14 May and return the attached letter of interest by 28 May at the very latest.
If your city has a good modal share of sustainable transport modes and has a sustainable urban mobility plan in place, and if you would be interested in playing the role of champion city in QUEST, please inform me by 3 May.
