Thema's: Cancer / genetically modified mouse models of human diseases / biomarkers / drug discovery / preclinical trials / functional
imaging / biosensors/
Description of research activity: The need to develop personalized treatments, in the case of tumor processes, drives not only a better knowledge of the molecular
events involved in cancer pathogenesis, but also the development of new experimental models mimicking, as close as possible, the
symptoms and temporal progression of the human disease and allowing the design and testing of new therapeutic approaches.
Expertise offered: Generation and characterization of genetically modified mouse models of cancer as a tool to study the molecular basis of disease pathogenesis, as well as a preclinical model
for designing and validating new diagnostic (biomarkers) and therapeutic approaches (drug discovery). Design of non-invasive systems for in vivo monitoring and follow-up of the entire pathological processes
